The eight moon phases, and what they're good for
The Moon takes about 29.5 days to go from new to full and back. Many people use this cycle as a simple planning rhythm: start things around the new moon, check in at the full moon. The astronomy is real; the planning meaning is a tradition you can try and keep if it helps.

What "Moon in Taurus" means
Besides its phase, the Moon also moves through all twelve zodiac signs every month, spending about two and a half days in each. Astrologers read the Moon's current sign as the emotional "weather" of those days. For example, a Moon in Virgo suits tidying and admin, while a Moon in Leo suits creative and social plans.
